From his village in northern Senegal, Yao, a young boy who loves books and dreams of adventure, plans his escape… 387 kilometers to Dakar to meet his hero, Seydou Tall, a famous French actor visiting his country of origin. Moved by the boy, the actor decides to abandon his obligations and take him back home. But on the roads of Senegal, nothing goes as planned. As they share this dusty and adventurous journey, Seydou Tall realizes that by traveling to the boy’s village, he is also heading back to his own roots…
